Further, Mr. Rogers who is a former president of the Highland Park Community League (HPCL) received the league's endorsement. This is no surprise. The endorsement, in my opinion, breaches the HPCL's motto of...... creating and sustaining the vigilance necessary in our (i.e, Highland Park) electorate to maintiain good government. Good government in our town, or anywhere in this country, simply does not involve secrecy and conflicts.

I believe Mr. Rogers could have better expended his energy by a door to door campaign and getting to know the community. I would say to Mr. Rogers, be thankful you live in a very nice home and feel blessed. Filing lawsuits because he is unhappy his mansion at 4404 Belclaire was valued to high is sad. Further, desiring in court documents and a sworn affidavit that he wants his home to be valued and reduced to approximately $150,000 is ridiculous. According to HP permit records, Mr. Rogers began a major improvement on his property after his sworn affidavit to DCAD in 2009. What is ironic about this tax lawsuit is the very taxes go to support the City of Highland Park, and the school district he uses. Now, he wants to be a Highland Park council member. In all honesty, I wish Mr. Rogers the best, but he should have disclosed this relationship and realized his candidacy posed problems.

The following pages (1st and last page of lawsuit) are the actual suit and sworn affidavit of Mr. Rogers tax lawsuit. These documents are public record. I am asking the residents of this town to send a message on election day to every council member that we want a change.

I appreciate your vote and I will work hard to make this town the greatest ever. Thank you.
