- Why were HP Department of Public Safety Officers (DPS) working on the clock for Whole Foods-Highland Park during the past town wide snow storm emergency? Why did HP have an idled HP DPS car in Whole Foods parking lot when it could have been used to help residents without power, protect residents, and patrol streets?
- Why did a crosswalk dissappear at a major intersection? Is public safety a top priority?
- Why did HP town manager, Bill Lindley, allow a serial permit violator to continue to work in our town? Why did the current town council allow this? And why was this business town registration not revoked?
- Why is the current town council considering the expending of millions of taxpayers dollars to expand town hall? Wouldn't conservation of surplus dollars be better for rainy days? Do we really need to spend? Why have our town leaders failed to recognize that our 911 emergency system needed a major overhaul?
- Why do residents who live across from HP parks pay a special recycling upcharge? Is this fair?
- Why has the town not adopted an ethics policy governing the HP Town Council after this was proposed last year? Are there conflicts of interest now in our town council? Will there be member conflicts of interest in the future or any conflicts of interest between anyone seated on the council? Would this be good government or ethical?
- Why does the Good Old Boy network at town hall supercede good government? How can HP keep its town council independent and free of conflicts?
